AI and Data Science Summer Workshop 2026 has Concluded!

AI and Data Science Summer Workshop 2026 has been held at the Main Campus of HKU from Aug 17 to Aug 21. Ranging from secondary school students to postgraduate students, 40 participants joined the workshop. Apart from the lectures about Big Data Analytics, Machine Learning, Deep Learning, Large Language Model, Optimization, and Communication Skills given by Prof. Zhan Zhao, Prof. Jintao Ke, Prof. Yong-Hong Kuo, and Prof. W. Y. Szeto, each group participant also worked on a group project supervised by a dedicated project supervisor (Prof. Jiayang Li, Prof. W. Y. Szeto, Prof. Junshi Xu, and Prof. Xintao Yan). The participants also visited the MTR Data Studio on Aug 19 afternoon. After taking a written exam on Aug 21 morning, all project groups presented their works in the afternoon. Group D won the Best Project Award.
